Scribble in my sketchbook
Assignment
Doodle
It's all the same
Someone's perched on my shoulder
And I keep working
Knowing who it is
Knowing you're watching
Knowing
Not minding
Not being bothered
Not having words
For you.

I know you by scent.
Everyone has one.
You don't smell pink
Of blunt
Femininity.
You don't smell blue
Of pious
Sisterly smiles.
You don't smell red
Of creative
Innocence.

Your scent
Is green
Like the ocean
It reminds me
Of the salty sea air
I can all but taste
When I kiss you
I can already see
You blush.

I know my kiss
Embrace
Words
Can embarrass.
Sometimes
Things should be
Said
Done
Expressed
Without notice
Of who might be looking
Watching,
Staring,
Whispering
Behind our backs,
To our faces.

So kiss me
With your refreshing sea scent
As I sit
Scribbling away in my sketchbook.
Just a poem off the top of my head...
